Sondelani Ranch

This area is situated around 220kms south of Bulawayo (Two and a half hours’ drive) Sondelani hunting area is situated along the Bulawayo Beit bridge highway. The lodge has fantastic accommodation facilities available, with 6 fully serviced chalets able to sleep 2 people per chalet all with en-suite bathroom and toilet facilities. There is also a fully serviced dining room and bar area with a swimming pool. From the lodge there is a scenic view overlooking a dam and surrounding hunting area.

It is an ideal location for a hunter to bring his wife and family and even for 2 hunters to enjoy each other’s company on a more affordable hunt budget.

The hunting area is game fenced along its perimeter and is around 20 000 acres in extent and has a healthy population of Impala, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Kudu, Warthog, Eland and Zebra as well as a movement of Leopard and Elephant. However, the main attraction is Buffalo. There is a population of between 250 to 300 buffalo on Sondelani.

We offer the serious Buffalo hunter an affordable but challenging fair chase safari. The Buffalo that inhabit this area have been hunted for more than 20 years thus they are an established population and are very wise to the sounds and smells that emanate from hunters. Therefore, a fair amount of walking, glassing and extremely careful stalking in the thick bush will be required to bag a decent trophy Buffalo.
